Past Events

The last few months The Web Bar Amsterdam organised several events. Check our Website to see the pictures and stories about it.

For the first time The Web Bar was an official ADE location. And we could say it was an enormous succes. Go to our webpage to catch a bit of the atmosphere than or to relive it when you were there.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS...

Please allow me to introduce myself (although most readers will recognize me): I am Jacques Zonne better known as the "Coatcheck Host" and I have been involved (almost) from the start of this beautiful fetish and cruise bar: The Web .

I have also made "The Web Weekly" for a number of years, and now is the time to give the newsletter a new style and a fresh start. New is the column "Famous Last Words", which I may write. Here I will describe what is happening in The Web, supplemented with news and facts that make our scene so beautiful. I hope to write some nice things about events that will take place in the future or that have taken place in The Web in the past.

It is a few weeks before we will celebrate the "BEAR WEEKEND 2018". In that weekend, The Web will change its name to "BEAR CAVE" and that promises to be a fun weekend. There are many events every day, including BEAR NAILING. This is a competition where all visitors of The Web ... eh sorry The Bear Cave can participate. The intention is that you hit a big nail 4 times and then we will see who hits the nail the furthest. There are daily prizes to be won and the winners of every day will compete on Sunday, March 4 (at 7:00 pm) for the title "Mister LumberJack 2018". I will personally pay strict attention whether this is all going well.

Another highlight will be the introduction of the candidates of the election MISTER BEAR NETHERLANDS 2018 (Barry, Johnny and Kenan). They are the heroes who will compete for this beautiful title and the winner will also be the one who will represent the Bear Scene of the Netherlands at the European Bear elections. Am I allowed to brag that I once won the World Title "Mister International Grizzly Bear 1996"? You can meet these participants and the future Mister on Friday March 2 for a "Meet and Greet" and of course you can also make a selfie with these gentlemen. Hopefully we can celebrate the new Mister Bear on Sunday in The Web.

I wish all these guys a lot of success!

With Leatherpride 2017 we had a visit from the photographer Dhari (D81Photography). He then made wonderful photo-sessions with visitors of The Web, and you know what? He comes again with the BEAR WEEKEND. So if you want to have a beautiful series of photos of yourself, make sure you are there, so that you can present yourself nicely on your different profiles. The nice thing about all this is that these photos are free!

Furthermore I am looking forward to a new event during this Amsterdam Bear Weekend and as many of you know then it has to be about food (LOL). The WEB BEAR WEEKEND BRUNCH will take place for the first time on Sunday 4th of March. Please note that you sign up for it, so that we know how many of you will be present. Hey ........ this was my first "Famous Last Words" column. You can expect the next one in less than two weeks and that will be inside the Amsterdam Bear Weekend 2018 special of the newsletter.
